About: Artist Biography 2024

Hannah is a Neurodivergent, working class, multidisciplinary artist who has been in professional practice since 2018.

She has recently been made a UN Women UK CSW68 Delegate to help elevate the stories of women and girls from Afghanistan. Her passion for championing underrepresented voices and campaigning for social justice has been embedded in her professional practice across multiple disciplines.

Hannah also has ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Irlen’s Syndrome and is an advocate for reasonable adjustments and access in the arts.

She is also an active member of Equity Working Class Network and a Trustee for National Portfolio Organisation Unlimited, championing disabled Artists.

After successful performances at Cambridge Junction, Colchester Arts Centre, VAULT Festival and Mercury Theatre, her current work includes further developing a pioneering neurodivergent movement called Neurodelicious. The next step is to explore health and wellbeing for neurodivergent professionals in the creative industries.

Hannah is also a member of The Junction, Cambridge; 'Troop' talent development program and has worked with The Mercury Theatre extensively. Her collaborative short play 'Lullaby' was produced by High Tide Theatre Company and performed at The New Wolsey Theatre in 2021. She participated in the Ink festival Intermediate Playwriting Development Course in 2021- 2022 with tutor (and esteemed Theatre Critic) Paul Davis.

She has delivered lectures at Arts University Bournemouth about inclusive arts practice and has presented research to the British Working Class Art Network, supported by Tate Research and the British Museum.

Since 2020 her arts practice has been backed by Arts Council England on five separate occasions, funding a series of online participatory workshops, developing her creative practice, launching Neurodelicious, touring Neurodelicious and developing an immersive VR experience to help elevate the stories of women and girls from Afghanistan.

Prior to her performance work, Hannah’s visual arts practice produced work that was exhibited extensively locally and nationally, including alongside Tracey Emin at Firstsite Colchester.

Hannah graduated from the University of Suffolk in 2020 with a 1:1 Arts Practice degree.

2015 Channel 4 Documentary

‘The Low Down on Getting High’. Hannah participated in an educational documentary aimed at young people in 2015. This project was produced by Tiger Aspect and has been used to teach Personal Health and Social Education in schools across the UK.
