‘Beyond Plastic’ at The Minories in Colchester, August 2019

Guests curated by lead artist Michele Webber

An exhibition that explores our relationship with plastic, how it is impacting the seas, beaches and environmental landscape of East Anglia and beyond.

There are two parts to the exhibition:

A selection of solo artists, schools and organisations displaying projects and installations is complemented by an open exhibition of artworks in the Girling room.

• address the issues and themes of the exhibition, or

• show how artists can work in re-purposed plastics and other waste/found materials.

We challenged artists to use materials already in the workspace rather than buying new supplies where possible.
